Shore Club/The Aqua

The new ice skating rink at the Newport Shore club is just about complete and the elephants have been removed.
The Aqua is reaching the top of its structure as it begins to taper toward the bulkhead.
The building has reached 31 floors already in its relatively short time being under construction.

This whole ice skating rink thing is a little bizarre. Nice photos though.

Thanks. The rink is bizarre, and tiny too. I cant see people really making too many loops before getting dizzy or seriously injured.

The rink is an OK size considering that's how big the Rockafeller one is about. But it just looks soo cheap right now - I hope they fix it up a bit.

Weeknights, $5, Weekends $6. Hmm. BTW, Bryant Park skating is FREE.

Why bizarre? Seems like a typical "luxury" amenity for the surroundings. And where'd they put the elephants?

I believe the elephants went to hibernate for the winter; there should be a fountain underneath the rink during the warm months.
